Welcome to psp ebook / psp e-book, psp ebook creator / psp e-book creator coded in B+ by Mike Ralph.
During this tutorial you will create a ‘psp ready’ ebook and transfer it to your psp for your reading pleasure.

Section A - Create the book on your PC

  1. Open psp ebook creator. Click File > Load text (source) file and select dracula.txt from the texts folder (created in the programs install folder). The 1st page of the file will be shown in the psp Window.
  2. Select destination. ClickFile > Select output folder and select the folder on your PC that will be used to save the psp ebook.
  3. Change format. Click the Landscape button to re-format the page in Landscape mode (the psp Window will automatically update when you make an option change).
  4. Display an image. Click File > Select background image and select sample horror.jpg from the backgrounds folder (created in the programs install folder).
  5. Change the ink colour. Click the Ink colour button and choose white from the colour options box.
  6. Change page font. Click Select font button and choose Tahoma, size 8, regular from the font selection box.
  7. Add a book title. Check Title option and type ‘Dracula – Bram Stoker’ into the empty text box.
  8. Preview output. Click Actions > 1:1 Preview to open the preview window. Close the window by clicking ‘x’ button in the title bar.
  9. Choose a filename. In the text box to the right of Create button, type in ‘dracula’. (Do not include a file extension.)

    Your screen should match the screenshot below:

  10. Build the psp Book. Click Actions > Build ebook or Click the Build ebook button. (While the book is building the status bar will update to show you which page is being created. When the process is finished the status bar will update accordingly.)

Section B - Transfer the ebook to your PSP

  1. Connect your psp to the PC (see psp manual if you need help with this).
  2. Open windows explorer on your PC and find the drive letter assigned to the PSP memory stick. Navigate to the psp/photo folder.
  3. Create a new sub folder called ‘dracula’ (/psp/photo/dracula).
  4. Copy the files from the folder you defined in section A2 to the folder you created in section B4.
  5. Disconnect your psp from the PC and browse to the psp's ‘Photo’ menu. Select ‘dracula’ from the photo group and open '0001-dracula.jpg'. The book will now be displayed. you can turn pages back and forth using the psp shoulder buttons (indicated by the arrows in the navigation bar).
  6. Enjoy a good read!
